Genesis:
Run In Blue is being organized and managed by students of Hult International Business School. The event is the brainchild of Sumit Sood, an MBA student at Hult International Business School based in Boston. Sumit is a passionate middle distance runner and his vision of Health, Happiness and Humanity is what brought other passionate future business leaders from Hult together across its four campuses cities of Boston, Dubai, London and San Francisco to stage a truly unique global event for a global social cause. We welcome you to be part of the Run In Blue movement!
Vision:
The long term vision is to make this as one of its kind global running event organized by the student body of Hult International Business School and establish it as an annual signature event in the world running circuit.
Why Blue?
The concept of Blue is to align with Hult's prominent color - Blue. Blue is also synonymous with Sportiness and brings in an element of Fun & Freshness. By running in blue color the aim of the run is to differentiate itself with other runs by using color as a differentiating point. We encourage all participants to support the theme by wearing the color blue on the day of the event to create a "sea of blue" across four global cities.
Purpose of the event:
The purpose of the run is to bring together the global business leaders of tomorrow to raise awareness for a common social cause while also delivering the message of Fun and Fitness. So for the year 2011, the participants in all the 4 cities will be running for the Red Cross (Red Crescent in Dubai) and help the Red Cross achieve their humanitarian goals.
